Stylish and Smart Babyproof Outlet

By MadelinePetersen |

I am a baby gear minimalist and, I am not ashamed to admit, a bit of a design snob. This is not to say that I have the nicest things, but I am particular about the things I want to put in my home. Plastic baby gates and cabinet locks are at the bottom of the barrel.

Outlet covers are one baby proofing product we definitely need because Tate is mighty interested in outlets and plugs. I just wish I had bought these clever instead of the cheap plugs that are impossible to remove.

This product is genius because you only have to slide the cover to the side to plug in electric cord. When you remove the plug, the cover automatically slides shut.

Yeah, but we have so many outlets that these would be both a hassle to install and quite spendy. I’m good with our basic plastic plug covers. They get the job done and I barely notice them.

  2. Emily says:

Friends of mine have these and their baby figured out how to slide them to expose the outlet. Needless to say they were pretty bummed when they had to go buy the “plug” style ones anyway!

  3. Sara says:

These are way too easy! The plug in ones are hard to remove by design. Doesn’t matter how ugly they are, if they keep my kids safe then I’m gonna use them.
