I have heard that babies are more likely to say dada than mama at first, because the sound is easier to make.
Imagine how delighted I was when Tate starting chanting mama as his first step in his speech development. I know he doesn’t equate the word with me, but this does not in any way make me feel less excited when the boy breaks out in his sweet chorus.
I managed to catch a little video of Tate in action (which is good because just a few days later, he seems less than interested in saying it).
