The Art of Scooting Backwards

I have been anticipating true mobility to kick in for some time now, but Tate is still fairly content to hold his position once he gets in it. He rarely rolls over, has yet to push up on his hands and knees, and lays completely stationary in his sleep. But the kid has started to move, whether he means to or not!

Here is photographic evidence of his new backward scoot. My favorite part is that he seems completely unaware that he can and does move himself.

When did your little ones start moving, and what method were they using?I love how every baby goes through this phase differently.
