The Making of Our Family Holiday Cards (Photos)

Last month, over on Disney Baby I told you just how to capture that perfect holiday photo with baby. Siblings included. Well – this year, I stepped up and snapped our Christmas card photos. My poor best friend, who is also our phototgrapher, had pneumonia and wasn’t able to do it so she leant me her amazing camera and studio. After five of the most chaotic minutes of my life, I was able to get enough images for a well put together Christmas card. Mission accomplished.

Now, it was onto just what Holiday card we were going to send out. Since we have to send to so many – close friends, family, our community, etc. – I decided to put together a few different cards this year along with a cute card insert – top 2012 moments. Instead of a long brag letter, I found an adorable card on Shutterfly that broke down the top 2012 family moments of our year and sent that along with our cards. I thought it would be a fun way to update everyone on our growing family.

And of course – I had to share it with all of you! Take a browse thorough the pictures that made our cards and just what Holiday cards I sent out this year. That said, wishing you and yours a very Happy Holiday season! Don’t feel bad friends that haven’t gotten them in the mail yet, I just mailed them out today! Tis’ the season.

I stuck with a classic red, white and green color palette but mixed modern prints like chevron with the classic polka dots to give it a nice pop of color....and fun!

It was impossible to get Grayson awake when we were snapping pictures. But, I love this one of him being snuggled by one of his big sisters.

    So Shy
Sadie was acting very shy in the photos. Sometimes, having a sibling by your side helps! That was the case for this shot.

    Finding The Perfect Photo
I pulled a few from my maternity and newborn shoot and turned them black and white in places so they would look well with the others I recently had taken. Sometimes you have to just make it work!
