Have you seen this Oreo ad featuring a baby breastfeeding and holding an Oreo cookie? This ad hit the internet last week – rumored to be shown in South Korea. The ad features the tagline “Milk’s favorite cookie”.
Kraft, the parent company of Oreo says that the ad was created by Kraft’s ad agency, Cheil Worldwide, for a one-time use at an advertising forum and was not intended for public distribution or use with consumers. Way to go Cheil Worldwide! Your “one-time use” ad gave Kraft millions of dollars in free advertising.
Kraft is doing a PR dance (not sure why, this will sell cookies Kraft) – but to me the real laughable story behind this ad is how the ad is being posted on various sites – both media and non-media. Everyone seems to be censoring the breast in the photo like it’s porn! The ad is portraying a baby that is breastfeeding -not a pornographic shot of a boob!
Some media outlets got all censory with the blurring of the nipple – and then there are some people who just got downright creative.
Check Out the Breast Milk and Oreo Ad Censored Images (both funny and media-ished)
Why go all Facebook censoring this photo of a breastfeeding baby? Oh that’s right – it’s a BOOB.
