Tomorrow is a new month, and I’m ready for a new me.
My baby is only 2.5 months old so it’s not like I’m expecting to turn into a hard bod overnight. Nor do I want to. But I do have to say that two kids later, everything has gone quite soft. You might even say it sags. And it’s time to be healthy and feel better about myself.
Thusly, starting tomorrow, things are going to be different. I’ve got myself a jogging stroller-of-sorts (I can at least walk comfortably with two kiddos in tow) plus I’m hoping to keep getting a little more sleep so I won’t feel pooped all the time.
Here’s the plan:Exercise for a half hour five days each week. No matter what, no matter what. I can do any kind of exercise—just a walk will do—as long as it’s a half hour long. (And no, I can’t do an hour workout one day to make up for a missed day. I have to complete five workouts on five separate days.) I find that when I exercise and keep it “light” (non-intimidating), I tend to enjoy it more … or dread it less.
Aside from the obvious health benefits, regular exercise typically steers me to make better eating choices, too. I’m hoping to lose a few pounds by the end of the month. But more than weight I just want OUT of my maternity wardrobe already and back into my favorite pre-pregnancy clothes. I’m ready to burn these jeggings.
And yes, I’m saying this here because I have to have someone to answer to or else this might never happen. I hope to check in here and there and say how things are going. But mostly, I really hope to have something to show by the end of March.
