Top Five Best Baby Etsy Shops

Babble's Top 50 Etsy Baby Shops

Buy baby clothes at Babies-R-Us and you can guarantee every other baby on the block has the same onesie. Or that two other people bought the same thing for the baby and mama of honor at the shower you’re attending.

Impersonal, assembly-line stuff.  But when you search for special outfits not mass produced it usually costs an arm and a leg.  You know those specialty baby shops that sell stuff only Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey can afford? What real-world mama can afford that stuff? Not me.

That’s where Etsy comes in.  You’ve heard about Etsy, right?  Every handmade craft under the sun can be found on the online craft cooperative courtesy of creative people all across the world selling their wares online.

Not sure where to start?

Babble’s done the hard work for you.  Introducing Babble’s Top 50 Etsy Baby Shops.  Etsy sellers offering amazing one-of-a-kind items for babies.  So if you’re looking to shop for the 18-months and under crowd, click over and check out some of the best baby goods around.

In the meantime, I’ve rounded up the top five from that group of 50.

5 – Baby Jives – Handmade modern mobiles feature cheery birds, sweet clouds, dancing dragonflies and fabulous fish perched on reclaimed branches that you will want to keep long after the crib is gone.

4 – Baby Ever After – Bold and flirty diaper bags that are fully functional with 6 pockets for bottles, diapers/wipes, pacifiers, snacks and all the accoutrements a mom with an infant requires.

3 – Ashley Goldberg – Delicate prints of ethereal girls, introspective boys, and otherworldly flora and fauna will bring a daydream-like quality to your nursery.

2 – Apericots Awesome tees and onesies that are excellent alternatives to the treacly “mommy’s little princess” variety.

1 – Amber Rae Creations – Certified organic cotton baby linens are pared down to their simplest form, then screen printed with stunning hand-drawn, boy-friendly images of airplanes, tractors and trucks.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Compiling this list of five took me hours as I kept clicking over to all the other awesome shops on Babble’s list. From toys, gear, bedding and clothes, it’s all there.

Also, if you don’t find your favorite Etsy shop, nominate it yourself.
