Traveling Moms: Enter to Win!

Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Bag

When I traveled into New York City a couple weeks ago to go to the SheStreams conference I never in a million years thought I would come home raving about a backpack. But it happened.

Long story short, I sat in a session with the founder of S1 Safety First bags, and after the session was over I had an opportunity to sit down and talk with her at her business table in the exhibitors hall. We hit it off great, but that’s totally besides the point!

By the end of the conference I had more stuff than I could carry home, and the bag I was using wasn’t cutting it for NYC travel. Dori, being the sweetheart she is, gave me one of these checkpoint-friendly laptop bags.

I moved everything from my diaper bag that was failing me, and killing my shoulder, and put it into the S1 bag, and off I went for the ride home. Well here we are… what… six weeks later?  And I am still using the S1 bag as my diaper bag. Why? Well it is comfortable, easy, and I can stick my laptop in it and go anyplace I need to go, or work, with Addie in tow, or any of my three children.

While I don’t travel a ton, except for in and out of NYC, the S1 Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Bag is really designed for moms who fly a ton, and make lots of trips through security checkpoints, this is perfect for you!

The bag is clear so there is no need to really unload it, and the backpack itself just snaps the laptop portion apart to make the back of the bag visible for check point searches. It truly is a genius concept.

And because I love the product so much, I am going to give one away to one reader here on Baby’s First Year, because I really think it is a must have for the busy traveling mom.  It has enough room for all your necessities, as well as baby’s — and it makes a shining alternative to an actual diaper bag.

My favorite part, though, is the attached laptop case. I often have to grab my laptop and run with it. I am able to throw my laptop, mouse, and power cord in with it, and it all stays perfectly, and the thick padding meant for protecting a laptop prevents any dings or damage. Score!

Now that I have raved and raved about it, do you want to win one now, or what?

We’ve got three young boys and we’re in the final preparations of a year-long trip to Australia while my husband participates in a teacher exchange program. With my virtual law practice, I’ll be practicing down there as well–this bag would be a godsend in making sure I’ve got everything I need with me safely!

    Danielle –
I am honored that you are sharing your Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Backpack with your readers.

As a consumer of my own products, I love traveling with our CPF Laptop Backpack – it makes going through airport security a breeze because my laptop is completely protected in a compartment with 1/2 inch padding and a clear backpack that is attached to the laptop compartment. The 4 clip design enables you to leave your laptop in the bag and when you get to the checkpoint, all you need to do is unclip the four clasps, the bag opens flat and goes through the checkpoint without having to take out the laptop! We have other designs as well and all of them meet the Federal TSA guidelines as checkpoint friendly – so it is a busy traveling moms answer to breezing through security.

Thanks again for sharing us and I am thrilled that you love your backpack!

I really love the whole idea of S1 Safety First Bag because of all the wonderful features it has. As a mother for little ones, I thought that it being a backpack was ideal as i have free hands to rush and grab my wild children laughs. I really like the idea of the 4 clip design that unclasps the laptop from backpack to place bag flat, pretty neat if you ask me.

  42. Nicole says:

S1 Mini Backpack would be one of the bags i would pick i think, very ideal for the little ones and with the schools how they are now this would be perfect so everyone could pretty much see what they had. Very wonderful ideas =)
