Union Jack Snugli Front Baby Carrier

01 snugly carrier

That’s my brother-in-law and that’s my kid he’s got in the most perfect of all gifts for a new dad, the Snugli front carrier. You see, my BIL is British and my sister is pregnant with their first little one who is going to be born in the USA. Pops is a proud Brit and hopes to give his son a strong English accent (I don’t have the heart to tell him it’s not gonna happen). At least I found the perfect gift for this proud dad and not just because it sports the union jack, either. The Snugli is one awesome baby carrier. Super light weight, easy to get baby in and out and the baby can face forward. My little dude is not a fan of facing me (what, is it my breath?!). Babies just like to see the world, the trees, the street signs, people, something other than a chest. Although if your baby is tiny or likes facing in, you can do that as well – options people! The snugly comes in other patterns too if the union jack is not your thing.

It’s so easy to get your baby in and out, there’s a one handed buckle on each side, although we only needed to open one side to get the boy in. The shoulders are nicely padded and the weight is distributed evenly since since straps cross in the back. Another bonus is the simplicity of design. I’ve seen carriers with all kinds of straps and buckles that it takes forever just to figure out which side is up. The Snugli is so simple, just pop it over your head and go!
