Watching my children interact and love one another is the most incredible feeling. Very recently Arlo has been reacting with such excitement when his big sister is close by – it seems like her small features and little voice are more fascinating to him then anyone elses. Everly is also enjoying the fact that Arlo is more aware and awake and is able to do things now like hold her hand or sit up on a pillow next to her.
Now that Arlo is more alert and aware, we’re also getting to introduce him to fun things to keep him entertained like the Johnny Jump Up. This bouncey contraption was our daughter’s favorite thing when she was small and we were pretty stoked to let Arlo try it out now that he has good head control.
[After the jump - a cute little video of my little ones "dancing" together]
On this particular afternoon, Everly had just woken up from her afternoon nap (hence the crazy bedhead) and came into the living room to find her baby brother mobile in a way he had never been before. Arlo was really enjoying the freedom to kick his legs and push with his toes a bit and his big sister loved being able to “dance” with him all on her own.
Seeing these two little lives we’ve created engage one another – smiling, dancing and playing together is as good as it gets. I can’t wait to see how their relationship blossoms as they continue to grow.
