Welcome to the Motherhood

There’s a commercial for Fiat going around called “The Motherhood” in which a British woman raps about everything from nursing bras to sticky countertops.

It’s always refreshing to see that the messy details of motherhood are universal but for some reason, I found it especially charming that this particular mother was rapping from across the Atlantic ocean.

She might call her diaper bag a “snot stained sack” but we’re still all dealing with the same issues.

I’ve noticed as my personal blog gets more popular that my audience has expanded beyond the United States. I have readers from Malaysia, Argentina and Australia, to name a few. But yet, the comments they leave and the stories they share, all sound like they could have been written by the moms at my neighborhood parenting group.

No matter where we are from, dealing with babies and toddlers is basically the same. We are all surrounded by too many toys, trying our best to fit into our old clothes and hoping and praying that at some point, we get some precious precious sleep.
