I come from a family of readers. My mom, sister and brother in law are even librarians. I’m no exception, you should see how packed my shelves are! I especially love beauty books, for obvious reasons, and I think they’re an especially great way to get information that you might not find anywhere else.

There are some books that I find myself recommending over and over to friends, family and readers.  These are great go-to reference books and if you’re interested in these topics you should own them!

Lauren Conrad Beauty

Lauren Conrad seems to be taking over the beauty world with her website, The Beauty Department. This book contains many of the basics laid out more in depth than her website. It seems that Lauren and her team thought of every possible topic, making this a great go-to beauty reference.
