5 Time-Saving Tips For Your Morning Makeup Routine

The easiest way to save time in the morning is to shorten your makeup routine. The question is, where do you start and what do you cut? With my five easy steps, you will have an extra pep in your step in the morning, and you may find out you didn’t really need all those products to begin with. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good smoky eye or a bright bold lip, but let’s face it, we don’t always have an extra 15 minutes to blend our shadows and layer our lips. Check out my slideshow for 5 time-saving tips for your morning makeup routine!

  • Keep Skincare and Haircare Products Visable 2 of 6
    visable

You don't want to have to go digging for your products in the morning. Do yourself a favor and clean out your drawers. Only keep products that you use often and that are not expired. Organize them in baskets or cabinets for easy access.

  • Pick a Tinted Moisturizer With an SPF 3 of 6
    tinted

The perfect 2 in 1! Pick a tinted moisturizer with an SPF to cut time and an extra step in the morning. Mixing your makeup and your sunscreen together saves you time and money.

    Try NarsLaura Mercier  or Becca.

  • Skip The Eyeliner 4 of 6
    mascara

Save the eyeliner for a night out on the town, and skip it on mornings that you're strapped for time. Instead, apply two coats of mascara for "va-va-voom" volume.

Try Cover Girl, Tarte, or L'Oreal.

  • Flushed Cheeks 5 of 6
    cheeks

I love the definition a bronzer can make on your face or the luminosity of a highlighter, but to save time in the mornings, try using a cream cheek color instead for a pop of color to brighten your face.

Try Tarte, Josie Maran, or Becca.

  • Store Makeup in a Clear Makeup Bag 6 of 6
    bags

I used to waste half of my morning digging through my makeup bag in search for the right eyeliner, lip product, shadow, etc. Try using a clear bag where everything is visible.

Try One Truffle, Sephora, or Basics.
