Father’s Day Gift Guide: Drugstore Grooming Edition

father's day grooming guide

Um, yes. It’s time to panic if you’re just now thinking about putting together a gift for Dad. Grab your keys (and a Diet Coke) and bust your buns to your nearest drugstore stat. All of these grooming products (many under $10) work just as hard as the expensive stuff, and can be picked up at Target, Walgreens, or most other drugstores! Stuff them in a shower caddy and call yourself prepared to wow him on Father’s Day!

Boots No7 Men Protect & Perfect Intense Serum & Moisturizer; $25

You may have seen it at Target in its oh-so-chic European design. Now, British brand No.7 is offering a line for men too! SPF, anti-aging ingredients, and a whiff of fragrance, is a sly way to keep your guy looking younger in just 4 weeks.

Murray’s Pomade and Hair Dressing; $2

The orange tin has been around since 1925 for good reason — born in the USA, this pomade adds the perfect amount of texture and shine to all hair types. At that price, snag a tin for yourself! I won’t tell.

Bulldog Skincare for Men Original Face Scrub; $10

There’s no bull (bleep) when it comes to being top dog. This natural scrub packed with volcanic pumice and coconut shells (sounds pretty hunky to me) helps slough-off dead skill cells, keeping skin clean and clear.

AXE Gel, Matte Hold; $8

Get a matte, messy style without the crunch (think porcupine stiff. not cute). Plus, it adds the right amount of hold to keep hair looking as effortlessly tousled as wide receiver, Eric Decker. Let’s be honest, that dude knows what he’s doing with his hair.

Every Man Jack Body Wash and Shower Gel – Sandalwood; $5

Au naturel guys will suds up over this moisturizing body wash that’s paraben and sulfate free! It deep cleans skin to remove dirt and grime from a hard day’s work or intense workout. The warm sandalwood scent has a bright and fresh edge; that’s definitely an added perk for us ladies.

King of Shaves Hyperglide 5 Blade System; $12

In the battle of the beards, Hyperglide is the new guy in town — according to Forbes, it’s the best shave around. Apparently, it’s a razor that creates its own lubricant when it comes in contact with water. Plus, it has a swiveling ball-socket handle that’s supposed to permit the blade to pivot and catch stray hairs in hard to get to places.
