Gloss Attitudes | A Makeup Tutorial by Lisa Eldridge for CHANEL

I’m a tried-and-true lip gloss lady. I love the soft and subtle watery look of it for a few reasons. First, I prefer to play up my eyes and draw attention up top, so I always choose a subtle lip so as not to distract from my focal point. Secondly, I’m a mess when it comes to wearing lipstick and bold lip colors. Inevitably, it will end up on my cheek, and I’m just not willing to risk looking like a clown too often. In other words, I stick to what works.

My favorite go-to lip glosses are LipFusion in Sweet and Flirt and drugstore brand, Sally Hansen’s Lip Inflation in Sheer Mocha. Both of these glosses have either a fruity or minty feel that kind of tingles a little, which I like. I’ve just recently tried Chanel glosses and I’m still trying to get used to the thickness of them, but I LOVE the colors and consistency.

And as you know, I’m Chanel beauty-obsessed, so finding Lisa Eldridge’s latest lesson in lip gloss was a bonus. In this video tutorial, she creates two easy makeup looks using two contrasting shades of lip gloss… with a soft and shimmery day look to a dramatic evening look to compliment her eyes.
