Here’s a beauty confession: I still have lipsticks I used to wear in college. When I love a color, I buy a ton for fear that I won’t ever see it again. What if it’s discontinued? It happens! But the truth is, makeup does not last forever. Formulations with oil can sour. Powders get clumpy. Bacteria can take over your mascara wand. The confusing part of it is that makeup doesn’t come with a expiration date so it’s up to you to know when the time has come. In this episode, I’ll explain which products last the longest (powders, shadows, pencils) and which you must toss several times a year no matter how much you love them. The good news is, that always means you’ll have space for new trends. Check out the 3 Minute Makeover episode on what to buy for Spring.
What’s the longest you’ve ever kept a lipstick/shadow/powder/pencil for?
