How To Keep Your Skin Fresh and Youthful This Summer | Put Your Self First

Summer Skin Care Tips - Danielle Smith - BabbleI will be the very first to admit to spending too much time in the sun in my….um, youth.  Growing up in Southern California meant there were plenty of beach days, lots of time at the pool and a plethora of sunshine-filled days. And I loved every single second of it.  If I’m honest, I still do.

There is something about seeing the sun shining that lift my spirits and makes my days better. But I certainly know it isn’t a friend to my skin.  Or rather, it isn’t a full-time friend.

I now know that I can’t over-do it, I can’t expect my skin to take care of itself and I certainly can’t expect my skin to look as I want if I’m not willing to put the effort in.

For someone who loves to be outside as much as I do, it was important for me to adopt a routine that would allow me to absorb all of the sunshine my soul needs without feeling as though I’m sacrificing the fresh and youthful skin feeling I have always embraced.

So, let’s talk about it. Here’s how to keep your skin fresh and youthful this Summer.
