How To Keep Your Summer Hair Healthy and Beautiful - Put Your Self First

Summer Hair Care Tips _BabbleMaybe it is the chlorine or the salt water.

Maybe it is the excessive heat.

Maybe it is the humidity from that beach vacation you just couldn’t wait to have.

Maybe you just don’t want to deal with your hair during the Summer, so you tie it in a knot on the top of your head every single day.

Maybe, just maybe, it is a combination of all of these things causing your hair to break, loose some of its color and take on the appearance of straw.

But you know it doesn’t have to be this way, right?  You can (and most definitely SHOULD) be taking extra care of your hair during the Summer months.  Here is the good news: the tips I have aren’t going to take you hours to implement.  I’m not suggesting you add hours to your hair routine each day.  However, I AM suggesting (as I typically do) that you take a little time to put some thought in to your hair rituals and routine and put your self first.

Look, I know the kids have to get to camp and you have to make lunches before they head out the door. And I know everyone wants to head to the pool and they are waiting on you.  And I know you have to pack for the WHOLE family before you leave for vacation.  But the time you take for you will be worth it.  You’ll start to recognize yourself in the mirror again and you will FEEL good.

That’s worth more than a little something good.

Additionally, consider putting sunscreen on your hair to protect it and occasionally wrap your hair in a scarf or wear a hat.
