Unlike the ‘no white pants after Labor Day’ rule, I haven’t paid much attention to what is and isn’t seasonally appropriate when it comes to beauty products. That is, until I went to paint my nails.
It didn’t seem quite right to go full-on summer neon; but deep fall colors didn’t seem right either. That’s when I settled on green as the best transitional go-to.
With that in mind, my head was in a different place when I visited Sephora. With each product, I found myself mentally sorting whether or not it was seasonally appropriate.
And then I stumbled upon LAVANILA perfume — a blend of vanilla and grapefruit. It’s the perfect transitional fragrance! Grapefruit is well-suited for lingering summer, and vanilla reminds us that fall is on its way!
This beautifully uplifting fragrance has undertones of warm cedarwood, fresh lime, and delicious madagascar vanilla — not to mention, it’s all-natural, 100% organic, cruelty-free, and vegan.
Of course, this fragrance came home with me and is now residing next to my ‘transitional’ nail polishes.
What do you think? Do the same seasonal fashion rules also apply to the beauty department?
I say, they do.
But then again, maybe that’s just my girly-side looking for a good excuse to try new products.
