I’m one of those girls that can’t wear the same makeup day after day. I need variety in my daily routine! While I might cover up my under-eye circles with the same concealer each morning and use the same brow pencil to define my arch, I reach for a different eye shadow palette nearly every day of the week.
For me, travel can be difficult. I want to have options, different looks for each day, and a choice of different products. Paring down can be hard, so the products that I pick need to be multitasking and versatile enough to take the place of many other products. That’s a tall order; travel makeup is no joke!
I asked some of my favorite beauty bloggers for their must-have makeup items when they travel. I was surprised by a few of their answers; there are products here that I’ve never heard of! Get out a pen and paper, you’ll want to add quite a few of these products to your shopping list!

"A versatile neutral eyeshadow palette like Stila In The Light [is good for travel]. I love having a palette that has neutral eyeshadows that can complete an entire eye look. The reason I like Stila In The Light is because it has shimmery shades as well as a perfect matte crease shade and matte brow highlight.
I love a full coverage powder foundation for traveling like IT Cosmetics Celebration Foundation. Liquid can sometimes be messy when traveling so using a full coverage powder foundation saves you on some of the fuss.
My favorite mascara for travel lately is the CoverGirl Bombshell mascara. I love that it has two different sides so you can achieve whatever customized mascara look you want. You can use one side only or layer for more drama."

"My favorite product is LA Girl concealer, it covers darkness and eyebags so well and works well with most bb creams and foundation. I also love my Senna cosmetics brow powder and angled brush, it keeps my brows looking defined and very natural."

"I make sure to bring a mixture of lip colors - one nude, one coral, one pink and one red. If it's colder weather I'll bring something a little more vampy as well. The best part of this is I generally only wear the nude one and maybe the red once for like an hour! Some of my faves are Burberry Cameo and Hourglass No 6 Femme Nude Lip Stylo."
- Brooke, Blushing Noir

"NARS Tinted Moisturizer is quick and easy, SPF 30, and gives me a polished look. OCC Skin Conceal covers any other imperfections and is the best concealer that I've tried! It doesn't crease. Tarte EmphasEYES For Brows is a quick and easy way to do my brows while on the go."

"Wet n Wild Nutty is a great all-over lid shadow that's perfect for quick looks that still look polished. When I travel (depending on where I am) I ease up on the makeup routine and like to use a lot of shortcuts. Since Nutty catches the light on the lid but contours the crease, it's a great multi-purpose shadow to travel with."

"I carry deluxe "travel sized" Make Up For Ever eye pencils in every shade I own (I usually replenish this stash during the holiday season), a bronzer, a blush, neutral glosses and lipsticks, one vivid lipstick, Estée Lauder "Vanilla Pods" shadow duo, and travel makeup brushes by MAC and Laura Mercier."
- Jen, Raging Rouge

"I love the IT Cosmetics Vitality Face Disk for a multi-tasking product! You can use the bronzer size to contour, bronze and it works beautifully as a crease shade for your eyes! You can use the highlight as an eyeshadow as well. The peachy, pink blush may work as an eyeshadow if you aren't super fair!
I also love brushes that are multi tasking! I love the IT Cosmetics dual ended airbrush, and I usually don't like double ended brushes! The BECCA the One brush is also amazing for a multi tasking brush!"

"Lipsticks remain a staple. I have to have red, hot pink and neutral lippies so I can rock different looks by merely changing my lipstick shade. My favorites are Givenchy 308 Rouge D'Exception (brick red), YSL Rouge Volupte 8 (bright pink) and Tom Ford Casablanca (neutral)."
- Kath, The Fabzilla

Another long-time favorite is the Tarte smolderEYES Amazonian clay waterproof liners. Prestige Cosmetics Color Persist Long-wear and Care Lipsticks. This budget-friendly lippie is comfortably long-wearing with a beautiful color payoff For daytime, I love Elemental Herbs All Good Lips Active Beauty Tints SPF 18. "I do not go anywhere without my Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette. My UD Naked 1 has been a staple with travel because it includes Warm toned shades that are perfect for my skintone and the palette itself is versatile for day, night and dramatic looks. Other essentials include my favorite nude lipstick, Nude Creme from Milani; my favorite Red lipstick, Lipstick Queen's Black Tie and a berry or pink shade ... it usually ends up being MAC's Creme de la femme."

"When I'm deciding what to pack while traveling, the most important things are size, weight, and how replaceable the item is - I like to bring things I can replace easily at a low cost! I also tend to bring products that don't require brushes to apply, so I can minimize the number of brushes I bring. For example, I bring a brow pen or pencil rather than powder - right now I love Maybelline's Master Shape pencil. I usually bring cream blush instead of powder for ease of application (bonus: it can't break). I like the MUA cream blushes, I have Yummy, because the packaging is small and light."

"Stila Convertible Color Cheek and Lip Stain in Peony is the perfect product to go from "just traveled" to "excited to go on my adventure." Stila Convertible compact allows for easy transportation and easy application with no need for a full brush repertoire. The demure yet vibrant color delivers a fresh glow and also works as a smile reinvigorating lip stain."
