Make Up Forever Aqua Rouge Lasts Forever

aquarouge2

I flip. You flip. We all flip for lasting lipstick!

If you’re a lip color addict, you’ll want to make sure you have Aqua Rouge in your arsenal. But if you’re anything like me, lipstick is mainly reserved for date nights or those outfits that need it as the final touch. Loving on little ones — what with kisses all day long, doesn’t really lend itself to lacquered lips.

Make Up For Ever ‘Aqua Rouge’ has changed all that. It’s a high impact lip stain, with the eye-catching shine of a gloss, that literally lasts 24 hours. Don’t ask how I know that. Okay, alright I’ll tell you. I may or may not have fallen asleep with my makeup still on.

Waking up the next morning my lips weren’t even smudged! Kind of amazing, no?

I have 4 Aqua Rouge colors in my collection as of now:

#8 red (top picture), #16 fuchsia (middle), #15 pink & #1 nude beige (bottom pictures). Honestly, I’m wishing I had  the entire collection!

Aqua Rouge’s double-ended tube provides highly pigmented color in two simple steps: first apply the opaque shade, wait a few minutes to let it set, then top with the transparent gloss for a lacquered finish.

And now a bit of the history behind this genius product! Aqua Rouge was created for professional make up artists working backstage and on-set that need products that last. Aqua Rouge provides waterproof, kiss-proof color that doesn’t transfer. The formula also boasts mica for intense color payoff, and a gelling agent for comfortable and effortless wear.

*A special thanks to Make Up For Ever  for providing Aqua Rouge products for my review.

To purchase: Aqua Rouge; $24 (Sephora.com)
