When I’m browsing around on Pinterest, there are a few types of pins that will get my attention every single time, without fail. Splurges and steals of any sort definitely fall into that category! Who doesn’t want to feel like they’re getting the most bang for their buck? I want the experts to tell me which products I should buy because they’ll be the most versatile, last the longest or I’ll use them the most often. If there’s a great product at a low price, let me know so I can stock up!
Makeup is definitely not an exception to this. I’m always on the hunt for the best splurges and steals for makeup, skincare, and haircare. Is there a foundation for under $10 that will give me flawless skin? What about a lipstick that makes me look awake even after I’m up all night with my newborn?
Splurges and Steals
I can't be the only one that wonders what the professionals are spending their money on, or aren't spending it on! What products do they think are so amazing and worth shelling out big bucks for? Which products do they stock up on at the drugstore? I asked, and here are the answers!

"The tools to apply make up: brushes. Great brushes can be the difference between looking like you applied your make up professionally or you were using your fingers to put it on. You don't need 20 brushes but find several good quality brushes that help you with your everyday make up and spend a little more on those."
- Alejandro Falcon is the artistic director at Osmosis Skincare
Bobbi Brown The Basic Brush Collection $190
"Sonia Kashuk brushes, sold at Target, are reasonably priced and good quality. I'm a product junkie, I'll try it from anywhere, name brand or price does not matter to me. It is about the quality of the product. Sometimes the more expensive products are not always better."
- Sarah Salice
