REVIEW: ReGenica® Advanced Rejuvenation Overnight Repair

regenica-overnight-repair

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been using ReGenica Advanced Rejuvenation Overnight Repair at bedtime. The serum blends nicely into my skin, doesn’t feel heavy or greasy, and has a really nice citrus scent.

ReGenica is a relatively new product line from Suneva Medical, Inc. Developed by Dr. Gail K. Naughton, this cosmeceutical contains a combination of human growth factors and proteins to rejuvenate and revitalize skin.

Human growth factors (HGF) are a family of hormones that are naturally occurring in the body to control cell growth and cell division in skin, blood, bone, and nerve tissue. HGF are synthesized for medical uses such as healing wounds and stimulating immune systems. In skin care, these products stimulate skin tissue repair and promote the creation of collagen and elastin. However, some believe that more long-term trials of HGF are needed and that speeding cellular turnover over an extended period of time may accelerate skin cancer.

Because of ReGenica’s regenerative properties, the Advanced Rejuvenation Day Repair and The Advanced Rejuvenation Overnight Repair products are clinically proven to reduce signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles. ReGenica also offers a a Facial Rejuvenation Post Procedure Complex that can be used to accelerate healing and to speed new cell creation post laser skin treatments.

This is a lovely product. It makes my skin look and feel more hydrated, which minimizes the appearance of some of the fine lines that plague me. In 10-week anti-aging trials, participants saw increased moisture, reduced fine lines, and a smoother texture. Until more research is done on human growth factors, I would recommend it for short term use to rejuvenate aging skin.
