Talia Joy Castellano, 13 years old, beauty blogger and aspiring make-up artist, passed away after a long fight with two types of cancers.  Castellano was an honorary Covergirl who inspired millions with her beauty tutorials and courageous “CancerVlogs.”

The description of her YouTube videos said “Make-up is My Wig” — “I don’t like wearing wigs so I wear makeup to feel good and pretty inside- and I guess outside. LOL!”

Her popularity grew within and outside the beauty world through her beauty tutorials and CancerVlogs. Talia spent her final six months in the hospital where she received well wishes from fans and admirers, including Bruno Mars and Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Today, July 16, surrounded by family and friends, she passed away. This news was shared on her Angels for Talia Facebook page.

Talia, who suffered from two types of cancers, neuroblastoma and myelodysplastic syndrome, told her fans that her cancer had progressed to her right hip and her skull in March. After sharing her terminal diagnosis with fans, an overwhelming amount of supporters raised awareness with trending hashtags like #prayerfortalia.

Despite her hardships, Talia found happiness in make-up and in creating YouTube make-up tutorials. In September of last year, Covergirl made one of her wishes come true by naming young Castellano an honorary Covergirl on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Our hearts go out to her family and friends. She will be missed by many.
