Jennifer Aniston and I are both AVEENO® ambassadors. That makes us Friends, right? Okay, well maybe not BFFs but I do get inside information on Jen’s skincare routine which is pretty sweet since at 44, she’s never looked better.
Dubbed the “Hottest Woman of All Time” by Men’s Health magazine last year, it’s been rumored that Aniston spends hundreds of dollars each day on expensive treatments to maintain her youthful glow but in her own words, her skincare routine is rather simple. Aniston recently told New York Magazine’s The Cut:
“When I started making enough money to afford high-end, fancy skincare products with sexy bottles and impressive claims, I decided to give them a try. As a result my skin acted up and got irritated…I believe the more simple, natural, and easy the skin care regime, the better off your skin will be.”
Well that’s encouraging for those of us who can’t afford $450 monthly facials, isn’t it? So what is the secret to this California beauty’s seemingly ageless skin? Click through for Jennifer Aniston’s skincare and makeup routine:

Hydrate, Hydrate & Hydrate Some More 2 of 8
"I'm always saying it drink plenty of water. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate both inside and out..." says Aniston, a Smartwater ambassador. I personally have a hard time drinking getting enough water all day but when I do, I notice immediate results too. It also helps with diet and weight loss, which isn't a bad thing!
Thoroughly Remove Makeup Each Night 3 of 8
"Awhile back I was doing a movie in the summer heat. Long days with a face full of makeup made my skin react badly. My makeup artist on set did a great thing, she gave me a tube of AVEENO® Positively Radiant® Skin Brightening Daily Scrub to use every night. And I've been using it ever since." Sound familiar? This is the same issue Katharine McPhee told me she had. Finding the best way to remove makeup thoroughly is ESSENTIAL.
Say "NO" to Junk Food 4 of 8
Aniston recently told New York Magazine, "I'll never forget when Justin and I were on a road trip and we were so hungry. The only thing around was McDonald's. I think I ordered a Big Mac. Wow, my body did not react well to that! It was like putting gasoline in a purified system. I am always trying to eat organic and natural foods, so that just made my stomach turn and made me feel terrible. And I think what you put in your body, as well as stress, is reflected in the quality of your skin." I've seen this first hand. Lip Balm by Dr. Hauschka 5 of 8
Aniston pampers her pout with her favorite lip balm, Dr. Hauschka. Its natural ingredients are extracted directly from plants or animals as opposed to being made synthetically. Most people overlook lip protection. Do you? Get it here.
Use a Primer to Hold Makeup In Place 6 of 8
Aniston's longtime makeup artist Angela Levin shares that her first step in Aniston's makeup routine is to apply a small amount of Youngblood Primer. "It's helpful in making the makeup last all day or night. Also because when she is not working she is always getting photographed." After the primer she also uses a few dots of Youngblood foundation because it's "lightweight and blends well." I've never heard of Youngblood before but you'd better believe I'm going to check it out! Get it here.
Always Be Prepared 7 of 8
If you're hitting the gym or are on the go all day like Aniston, a yoga enthusiast, you may want to take her recommendation of packing makeup wipes to stay clean and refreshed, and remove excess sweat and oil on the go.
