I was really pleased that a lot of people enjoyed my first article about simple recipes that are great for teaching kids cooking. This whole idea was brought about by the New York Times article about a boy who often cooks dinner for his family. Teaching kids the pleasure of cooking a simple meal from scratch is not to be underestimated. Gaining confidence in the kitchen can help children learn more about the food cycle, thus teaching them to care about where their food comes from, and teaches them some early life skills about feeding themselves. Also, healthy recipes such as the ones below, can help show children the importance of good eating habits and how preparing vegetables from scratch will help keep their growing bodies healthy and strong.
