10 Totally Over-the-Top Recipes

With the advent of bloggers competing for increasingly visually-driven traffic numbers, and a public hungry for the next big thing, more and more over-indulgent, over-the-top recipes are being created to satiate a massive desire for all things decadent. It’s a game we play as food bloggers, as Jamie Schler recently pined in her Huffington Post article. More traffic for us means more money. And no matter how much we’d rather be snacking on strawberries, you learn very quickly that clicks don’t largely come from fresh produce. So, stuffed cookies,  brownies baked in cakes, and triple-stuffed burgers have made their appearance on the world’s stage.

It’s not just bloggers continually competing for the attention of the uber-indulgent. The marketplace is driven by consumers, so big box companies have jumped into the arena, creating entrees and desserts that aren’t just original, they’re obstreperous. And if you don’t know what that means, just check out these 10 recipes and see for yourself.
