Fall is not in the air yet, but it will be soon. That means it is time to pack in all those awesome seasonal summer fruits and vegetables you can while they last. I know you can get lots of things, like tomatoes, in the store year-round. But have you ever really tried a store-bought tomato in January? That is why it is time to start eating the ones fresh off the vine right this very minute. And while you are at it, pick some corn, cherries, peaches, and other stone fruits. These are all things that taste perfect when they are fresh and don’t really freeze well. Also, they don’t taste great in the stores mid-winter, no matter how much you want them to. So what are you waiting for? Pop out to the store and pick up some of these amazing fruits and veggies and get cookin’ while the crops are here!
