2 Minute COOL WHIP Cookie Sandwiches

By bellalimento |

When you NEED to get something sweet on the table before the mob swarms (aka family or friends), we have a simple 2-minute dessert that is sure to satisfy. This one doesn’t even require you to thaw your COOL WHIP Whipped Topping. They’re cookie sandwiches that have a slather of Nutella and then a huge dollop of COOL WHIP. Two minutes top to bottom, and they’d also be good with biscoff spread or peanut butter. Whew! Crisis averted.

Pre-made pizzelles are crisp and crunchy and the perfect compliment to the creamy Nutella and the cool COOL WHIP.

COOL WHIP Cookie Sandwiches (makes 4)
What you’ll need:
6 ounces COOL WHIP whipped topping
8 teaspoons Nutella – divided
8 pizzelle cookies

What to do:
1. Spread approximately 1 teaspoon of Nutella on one pizzelle cookie. Top with generous dollop of COOL WHIP. Place additional pizzelle on top. Gently press together to form sandwich. Continue until all cookie sandwiches are assembled.

Nutella on anything is delicious! Every time I go over to my grandmother’s house, she always gives me pizelles to munch on…I’ll have to let her know about this recipe. I’m sure she’ll love it!

This is the last thing I need to be looking at before going to the gym. I’ll probably splurge and buy the ingredients tonight!

  3. Penelope says:

These look amazing — I haven’t had pizelles in forever! I think I’ll need to introduce my kids to them with this recipe! They already love nutella (and of course cool whip, who doesn’t?!). This will be a great after-school surprise — especially on such a rainy day here!

Yumm, that looks like a lighter version of an ice cream sandwich and I am all over it! I don’t usually love Pizzelle cookies by themselves (they’re kind of bland for my taste) but I bet they’d be amazing with cool whip and nutella!

  5. Theresa says:

You had me at Nutella. Nutella & Cool Whip, what an awesome combination! I already have the Nutella and Cool Whip in stock. Off to get me some pizzelle cookies! The strawberry on top makes this look like such a classy dessert!

  11. Digital Molly says:

Okay, first I would like to say MOMMYFRIEND totally stole my thought. You too had me at Nutella and Cool Whip. I need to find these pizzelle cookies. I’ve never seen them, but they look amazing!

Instead of the strawberry, I’m going to go all anti-healthy and put a Hershey kiss. These would be absolutely darling (either way) for a bridal shower (which I so happen to need recipes for – thanks).

Yum! This is a beautiful, simple dessert. My husband’s family is from Italy and we make pizzelles every year around Christmas. This would be such a fun reason to get the pizzelle iron out! Thanks for the idea.

First, I love anything with Nutella and OMG, 2 minutes really? This is the perfect afternoon snack or after dinner treat. I can’t believe it is so easy too! Where do you come up with such great ideas? Thanks so much for sharing! Going to browse you other cool whip recipes now!

My kids love Nutella — and the Cool Whip’s even better frozen. This is a great idea … and now i’m going to make some this week. We also bought some mocha peanut butter to try … I bet that would be tasty on this as well. And my daughter just said they’d be good on frozen waffles too!
