The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. Growing up my family would spend all day just hanging out, running through the sprinklers, eating all kinds of food and staying up late to watch the fireworks. My mom usually set up an arts and crafts table for us to make red white and blue pinwheels or yarn sparklers (attach a bunch of red, white, and blue yarn to a stick). This year we are all gathering together at my parents house and I’m setting up a craft table for the kids and adults. Last week I made sprinkle cones and they were so easy and a huge hit with the kids that I thought this would make a perfect 4th of July craft activity AND dessert!
1 box of ice cream cones, either cake or sugar
1 container of microwavable white chocolate for dipping fruit
Red, White and Blue sprinkles and sanding sugar
Melt the white chocolate according to the instructions. Dip the edge of each cone and spread with the back of a spoon. Holding the cone over a plate, add sprinkles and sparkles. Allow to dry and serve with your favorite ice cream.
