Just in time for Thanksgiving, and yes, kids will eat it. It’s just healthier and better than the conventional canned and bland version we’ve been forced to eat holiday after holiday after holiday. Enough is enough. Real green beans, real mushrooms. Real stuff. Because no matter what you make for the kids, the grown ups have to eat it, too.

These really look like some great ideas that would satisfy the pickiest of eaters! I know that my little brother has a hard time staying away of his steady diet of Mac and Cheese and pizza. Will definitely be utilizing these!

Here’s a great video by Parent Earth on incorporating vegetables into the diet of picky eaters!

  5. Beth Wankel says:

Maybe my son is EXTRA picky, I don’t know, but he wouldn’t touch 75% of these with a ten foot pole. Did get a few good ideas though.

Some of these recipes look interesting – definitely worth a try. I read a great blog – http://www.itsnotaboutnutrition.com – that is all about helping parents teach kids how to eat right. It offers some great tips on getting picky eaters to try new foods, like using the foods they already know and love. It’s been a great resource to me.

  7. Vicki says:

Ya learn sometinhg new everyday. It’s true I guess!

  15. Kate says:

Really? Spaghetti and CLAMS? I don’t want to eat that and you think my picky eater will?

  17. Allergy Mom says:

Not exactly an allergy friendly list. Nuts, Eggs, Dairy, Wheat, Shellfish – actually all of the top 8 allergens. Not bad recipes but the title should be changed.

  18. Anonymous says:

From the sounds of these comments, I can tell why so many kids are picky! Look how their parents complain!

  19. Tracy says:

If you read a receipt that sounds good but has something in it your kids has allergies to…SUBSTITUTE something else or omit it!!!! Stop your complaining over all these petty things, no wonder why your kids will be high strung adults!!!!

  20. Adalaide says:

I have teenage daughters who eat things like asparagus, brussel sprouts and spinach. The magic? When a meal is served make it perfectly clear that if they don’t eat what is in front of them then they don’t eat.

  21. Lilydivine says:

I must be lost case the food listed is either unhealthy, common since foods that almost every kid loves or food that even my least picky child wouldn’t dare let cross his lips.
My youngest child has SED (Selective eating disorder) and there’s a vary short list of what she will actually eat so to be honest i really wasnt expecting to find anything on here for her but if i served “KALE CHIPS” or “VIETNAMESE RICE PAPER ROLLS”to my boys, who will eat darn near anything (not to mention my HUSBAND0 there would be a full scale riot in my house!! These recipes might be tasty but not at all “kid friendly”
To and parents who have children with SED be careful with some of the advice you take from online sites claiming to offer “kid friendly recipes”. When i was still learning how to deal with my daughters S.E.D. I was afraid for her health because of the limited foods she was willing to eat. I read that I should take a meal she likes and cook veggies and things into it and she would be nun the wiser.
I ground up sum veggies really fine and added it to the ground beef in our hamburgers one night and even tasted it and had my boys taste it to make sure it wasn’t notice able.
My daughter knew from the first bite and now refuses to eat beef at all for fear that shes being tricked once again. It may not seem like a big deal but if you’re the parent of a child with SED then you know adding another thing to the list of things they wont eat is devastating and its a nightmare knowing that i’m the reason for her most recent decline.
Be honest with your SED child about what you’re feeding them. the slightest change in taste or texture can ruin the food that they used to enjoy

  22. Nelly Frect says:

my kids too used too get on my nervous at times as you know how this bundle of joys are am a mum of three and atleast now i can say yipee…just like when i nread here i was so amazed http://is.gd/Yo5fib

  23. ComptonKathrine says:

  24. cupcake123 says:

thx and wtf she wont eat it

  25. JUSIN BOBO says:

ewwww clam shells and spaghetti when i ate this i nearly puked in the floor TRUE STORIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  26. Mike says:

God, I wouldn’t go anywhere near most of this stuff as a kid. The picky eaters section was WAY off. I counted throughout the entire thing, and I only spotted 3 things out of 50 I might have touched.
