Some people call them wassails, while others call them mulled ciders. But I grew up with the term hot toddy, a warm alcoholic comforting drink you have at night to warm up and relax before bed.  Hot toddies are almost always made with alcohol of some sort, but you can make them non-alcoholic, like the Non-Alcoholic Kid-Friendly Wassail shown above.
