10 Good-for-You Quinoa Recipes

Quinoa (pronounced KEEN-wah) is perhaps the most popular superfood of the new millennium, touted for its versatility and nutritional benefits. Gluten-free and high in protein, quinoa delivers a perfect balance of all eight essential amino acids, making it a complete protein all on its own. In fact, the World Health Organization claims that quinoa contains a better protein balance than any grain, being at least equal to milk in terms of protein quality.* With a light, fluffy texture (unlike many whole grains) quinoa can often be swapped for rice or other grains, or eaten with dried fruit, nuts and a sprinkle of brown sugar for breakfast, just like oatmeal.
