A Fresh Champagne Cocktail for New Year’s Eve: The French 75

A Fresh Take on the Champagne Cocktail: The French 75
Looking for a great cocktail to serve up for your New Years Eve party? One can never go wrong with Champagne, but sometimes it’s fun to add a little pizazz to the classic sip. Happily, there’s an extensive array of Champagne cocktail recipes that are perfect for ringing in the New Year, and my favorite is the French 75. The famed cocktail is named for a small, rapid-fire French gun used during World War I, and with a history like that, you can imagine it packs a pretty big punch. Booziness aside, the French 75 is also bright and lemony, with just a little kick from gin. For our French 75 recipe, we added the twist of a juniper-infused simple syrup, and it made for a complex and delicious sip perfect for all kinds of New Years celebrations.

So get ready to have some fun tonight, and shake up this fun cocktail!
