A Moisturizing Winter Face Mask – from Your Kitchen!

julievr JulieVR |

It gets so dry each winter, I wind up seeking relief for dry, itchy skin. After a facial last week, the esthetician advised I look around the kitchen for real ingredients to soothe my skin – and soon after I came across this creamy, all-natural face mask, made with mashed avocado! I often find myself with an over-ripe avocado in my fruit bowl… next time, I’ll consider it a mini spa day!

I love that this mask is made with ingredients I always have on hand – it’s inexpensive, and I know exactly what my skin is getting.

Avocado Face Mask

1/2 fully ripened avocado from Mexico

1 tablespoon plain yogurt

1 tablespoon honey

2 cucumber slices

In shallow bowl, mash avocado until smooth; add yogurt and honey; stir until combined. Apply evenly to face; put on your favorite tunes, lie back and allow mask to set for 15 minutes; rinse with warm water.

YIELD: 1 application.
