We eat a lot of chicken around these parts so it was only natural for me to give the pizza stone a try for our favorite recipes. We are hooked! The chicken turns out so moist with all the flavors captured inside. Best of all? No sticking and hardly any clean-up. There’s no reason to buy those gross frozen nuggets and pass them off as food when you can make easy nuggets from scratch.
Herbed Chicken Strips
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
fresh ground sea salt and pepper
Preheat oven with pizza stone to 350. Cut the chicken breasts so each piece is about the same size and place in a bowl. Drizzle a tablespoon of olive oil and sprinkle about 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder and a few grind of salt and pepper and one tablespoon of dried parsley. Toss to coat and place on heated pizza stone and bake for 10-12 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
Chicken Nugget Strips
2 boneless skinless chicken breast
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 cup italian seasoned breadcrumbs
fresh ground pepper
Preheat oven with pizza stone to 350. Cut the chicken breasts so each piece is about the same size and place in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat. Place chicken on plate. Combine parmesan and breadcrumbs and sprinkle evenly over the breasts. Flip and repeat. Place on preheated pizza stone in oven and cook for 10-12 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
