Baking, Decorating and Holiday Recipe Ideas at Sprinkles 'n Grins

By Jennifer Savor the Thyme |

This is the time of year when we are all thinking about homemade food gifts for Christmas and the Holiday Season. Just in time for all your holiday baking and decorating needs, a new website for home bakers and dessert lovers has launched.

The site is Sprinkles ’n Grins and it features dozens of recipes for every day and special occasions, exclusive how-to videos and tips to help you with dessert and snack projects……

The first recipe that caught my eye is a fun one for the kids for Thanksgiving. The Turkey Cookie Treats are so cute and all you do is start with a basic cookie, print the photo and then let the kids try to make it. Other recipes that look like fun are the Turkey Gobbler Cake, Mr. & Mrs. Pilgrim Cookies, Santa and Elf Pancakes, Rudolph Cupcakes and Leaf Cookies.

Sprinkles ’n Grins also features:

Monthly Craves: Projects and recipes cataloged by the calendar and featuring both holiday and everyday suggestions, such as Sweet Heart Cake (February), Spring Celebration Brownies (March), Stars and Stripes Cupcakes (July), Chocolate Mummy Cookies (October), and Peppermint Mocha Muffins (December).

Expert Advice: Exclusive how-to videos from Clare Crespo, author of the popular cookbook, Hey There Cupcake! and creator of The Yummyfun.  With her step-by-step videos, Crespo demonstrates unique projects, including Cookie Postcards and Fishbowl Cupcakes that will delight children and adults alike.

Online Community:  A forum where visitors can post recipes and swap ideas, as well as a weekly blog from Signature Brands’ food scientist and recipe developer, Lanier Lewis, which highlights party ideas and decorating tips.

Customizable Tools: Visitors can compile a personal profile with upcoming occasions and the site will suggest recipes and tips specific to them.

Project Resources: An activities section includes printable templates – such as baby chicks and race cars – to create professional-looking cakes and treats.

For more information, recipes ideas and tips, visit Sprinkles ‘n Grins.

I LOVE these. Mostly because they are so darn cute and I wouldn’t have to use royal icing. (RI is a little too time consuming for me). Is it November yet? I’m thinking place cards.
