Our Family Secret to the Best Breakfast Burritos

I think secret ingredients are usually high in fat—that’s why no one wants to tell you what they are. For example, I have discovered that cream cheese or sour cream tend to add a lot of flavor to many of my recipes. Both add moisture, creaminess, and tang to a dish and boosts its complexity of flavor. Kids will love the flavor because, though it is more complex, it is mild at the same time.

Awhile ago, I was making a quiche from stuff I had around the house and threw in a few dabs of cream cheese. It was so good I often add cream cheese to my eggs. Just a hint of it can really perk them up.

Best Breakfast Burritos

For each burrito, spread about 2 teaspoons of cream cheese on a tortilla (we prefer TortillaLand uncooked Tortillas because they contain no preservatives or hydrogenated oils). Top with scrambled eggs, grilled onions and peppers, tomatoes, and cilantro and salsa (if desired).
