Best Father's Day Steak Recipes

By Angie McGowan |

Are you ready for Father’s Day? It’s this Sunday. Why not make him a big juicy steak on the grill? Making steak on Father’s Day is a tradition I did every year with my Dad and continue to do with my husband. Since I hardly ever make steak, except for special occasions, it’s a real treat. There are so many great recipes. It can be really hard to choose. In the slide show below, I’ve complied my favorite Father’s Day steak recipes from my own recipe box and around the web. You’ll be sure to find something your Dad will love.

Porterhouse Steak with Whiskey Mushroom Sauce

Dad will go crazy for this Porterhouse Steak with Whiskey Mushroom Sauce from Jaden at Steamy Kitchen.

I didn’t include a link to my husband’s favorite recipe because I haven’t posted it yet. Fortunately his favorite recipe is the simplest. He likes a big porterhouse, seasoned with salt, pepper and Worcestershire. I grill it over a charcoal fire to medium rare, and top it with butter. To go along side, I bring my cast iron skillet to the grill and saute mushrooms in butter and Worcestershire. I also bake the potatoes on the grill wrapped in foil with the steak, and serve a simple salad with blue cheese dressing.
