When I was little, my favorite summer dessert was creamy grapes my mom would whisk together brown sugar and sour cream, then toss with the fruit. It took her about 20 seconds to put the whole thing together. When I eat it now I am instantly transported back to swimming pools and summer dinners on the patio. Imagine my delight a few years ago when I went to my friend Will’s wedding where the main dessert (well, besides the four-tiered cake) was four humungous bowls of just-picked blueberries along with that same sour cream and brown sugar sauce. It’s now a regular on the rotation.
