One of my favorite ways to get a little extra nutrition into my daughters’ diets is to ply them with healthy smoothies. My favorite smoothies combine unexpected flavors, and this blueberry avocado smoothie fits the bill perfectly! Barely sweet and so creamy, it’s filled with antioxidants from blueberries, healthy fats from avocados, and lean protein from non-fat Greek yogurt. Just the thing for a healthy, fortifying after school snack or sippy cup surprise!
Blueberry Avocado Smoothie
1 cup ice
1 cup water (or juice for a sweeter smoothie)
1 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
3/4 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 banana, frozen or fresh
Place ingredients in your blender, and blend until smooth. Stop to stir or add water as needed.
