7 Ways to Get Your Buffalo Chicken Dip On

The Super Bowl XLVI is this Sunday, February 5th at 6:30 ET in Indianapolis, and there’s no denying it. Regardless if the Patriots or the Giants win that day, buffalo chicken is a win for the Super Bowl party happening at your house. Bonus points if you get your buffalo chicken on in the form of buffalo chicken dip.

There are a plethora of recipes out there on the web to choose from, but here are a few examples, and to help you decide, I’ve illustrated the differences between them. Make your picks wisely, my friends, for the Super Bowl is just days away.

Pie plates be gone. This dip is tucked into bread bowls, which are almost like buffalo chicken dip sandwiches once you've cleaned some of the excess dip off the top. It's dip turned meal here.

If you're a Philadelphia Cream Cheese diehard, then you'll love the layer of unadulterated cream cheese found at the bottom of this buffalo chicken dip. Scoop deeply, friends, and you'll be rewarded.

  • Creamy Dreamy Mayonnaise 4 of 7
    Creamy Dreamy Mayonnaise
A mayo-based recipe for those who might prefer an uber-creamy variety of buffalo chicken dip. You'll find no cream cheese, but plenty of blue and sour cream in its place.

  • All Mixed Up 5 of 7
    All Mixed Up
Much like the classic recipe, this one utilizes a big ol' bottle of blue cheese salad dressing.

  • The Classic 6 of 7
    The Classic
When I was looking for recipes, this one seems to be the one people turn to most often. Everything is mixed together, baked in the oven and ready to slap on a cracker. Also included: options to bypass the blue for those who prefer their cheese less moldy.

  • Nachos Are Dip, Too! 7 of 7
    Nachos Are Dip, Too!
Ok, so nachos kind of bypass the bowl of dip and give it to you all in one pass. All of it is baked together, making this buffalo chicken dip the best yet.
