Angel food cake is slathered in butter, then cooked until golden brown on a hot skillet. Top that with banana, caramel sauce, whipping cream and toasted coconut and you’ve got yourself a dessert so good,y ou’ll never go back to that old ex of yours. Who needed strawberry shortcake, anyway?
- 6 slices angel food cake
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 can high-quality ice cream caramel
- 2 barely-ripe bananas
- whipping cream
- 1/3 cup toasted coconut
Heat a griddle or skillet over a medium-hot stove. Slather butter on each side of the slices of angel food cake then grill until golden brown in hot skillet. Top immediately with caramel, bananas, whipping cream, and coconut. Enjoy!
