Celebrity All Star Game 2011: Bieber's Sweet Basketball SkillzBrooke McLay
He’s the most downloaded chap on YouTube, and now he’s taken home the title of MVP from the 2011 NBA Celebrity All Star Game. With eight points, two rebounds and four assists, Justin proved he can do more than sing, he might just be a mad baller, too.
On the team managed by Jimmy Kimmel and Magic Johnson, Bieber joined Ty Burrell (from Modern Family), Zachary Levi (of Chuck fame), Jason Alexander, rappers Common and Lil’ Romeo, and Rob Kardashian to take home the win.
The Celebrity All Star Game kicks of the NBA All-Star week, which includes a Rookie game, 3-point contest, and Dunk contest. If you’ll be watching the NBA festivities this weekend, turn your viewing into a basketball themed party with this simple cupcake recipe. It’s easy, tasty, and may just turn you into an all-star baker. Which is almost as fulfilling as being a MVP baller.
- 1 batch cupcakes
- 2 cups buttercream, tinted bright orange
- 8 black licorice ropes
- white nonpareil sprinkles.
Frost each cupcake generously with buttercream frosting. Sprinkle lightly with white nonpareils. Place two small strips of black licorice string in a C-shape near the edge of each cupcake. Press a single strip of black licorice string down the center of each cupcake. Use scissors to snip any unsightly ends. Allow frosting to air dry and harden in a cool location before serving.
