Cheeseburger Mac & Cheese


Cheeseburgers are nice. Mac and Cheese is nicer. So what could be better than combining two classics and making them one? This Cheeseburger Macaroni is the ultimate marriage of flavor and fun. Delicious, tasty, and totally terrific.

Cheeseburger Mac & Cheese


1 pound ground beef
2-3/4 cups water
1/2 cup crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tsp. onion powder
2 cups curly pasta, uncooked
8 ounces Velveeta cheese
1 cup cheddar cheese
Pickles for garnish, if desired


BROWN the ground beef in a large, nonstick skillet. Drain off any excess grease. Add the water, tomatoes, ketchup and onion powder to the meat. Stir until well mixed. Bring the ground beef mixture to a boil, then add the pasta and cover the pan with a lid. Simmer on medium-low heat for 10 minutes, or until the pasta is tender. Add the Velveeta. Stir into the mixture once melted. Serve topped with a bit of cheddar cheese and pickles for garnish.
