Cherry Limeade Sorbet

My ice cream maker has already been getting a workout and I don’t see it getting a rest anytime soon. This year we’ve started out with sorbets. And in typical fashion I just can’t get enough. We recently shared our POMEGRANATE SORBET recipe with you and now we’ve whipped up a cherry sorbet. Not just any cherry. Cherry Limade. It’s sweet, tart and oh so refreshing.

Cherry Limeade Sorbet
What you’ll need:
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
3 cup cherry juice
1 teaspoon fresh lime juice

What to do:
1. Into a deep sided pan add: water and sugar and cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Add cherry juice and lime juice. Cook until mixture is heated through. Remove from heat and allow to come to room temperature.

2. Transfer to refrigerator and allow mixture  to cool completely.

3. Transfer mixture into your ice cream maker and mix according to manufacturers directions.

Garnish with lime wedges if desired.
