Chill Out with a COOL WHIP MilkshakeKelsey Banfield
I’ll be the first to admit, we are a household of milkshake fanatics. I am sure my daughter learned to love them in utero; I drank so many of them when I was pregnant! The other day I was looking for a way to lighten them up a little bit and got the idea to substitute some ice cream with COOL WHIP Whipped Topping and add a festive dollop on top.
I started off my adding 1 scoop of ice cream to the blender, instead of my usual two, and 1 scoop of COOL WHIP. Then I added enough 1% milk to cover all of it and blended it until smooth. I poured each milkshake into a little cup – portion control! – and added a dollop of COOL WHIP and some sprinkles on top. It turned out that the COOL WHIP blended really well with the ice cream and created a light, frothy, cream. We adored it! My daughter, of course, didn’t really know the difference; she just enjoyed eating the COOL WHIP off the top and asking for more. I swear, that festive touch always does her in; what you add makes it!
