For awhile now, chocolate covered marshmallows have been my favorite treat. In fact, the other day, I got a text from Brooke, one of the other Family Kitchen bloggers, saying she was eating chocolate covered marshmallows and was thinking of me.
A little later, I was perusing the aisles of the Whole Foods in Salt Lake City, when I found a whole box of them. I usually think twice when I want to buy candy that I know has artificial coloring, flavoring, or preservatives. But this package of sweet squishy squares dipped in chocolate was at the Whole Foods, my second home.
How could I not buy it? Clearly, the little blue box, sitting so temptingly in a pyramid formation near the Fromage d’Affinois, was a sign from retail heaven. I mean, I saw them right after I got that text. It was serendipity.
These sweets are made in France, and and are a Whole Foods exclusive. They are generally sold near the Whole Foods brand of chocolate truffles, and cost about $4.00 a box. They make a perfect holiday gift.
