Sometimes nice isn’t nice enough. Sometimes sweet isn’t sweet enough. Sometimes classic, cream-filled cakes deserve to get dipped in chocolate, like a mud wrestler enjoying an evening slamdown. Call me indulgent. Tell me I’ve messed with simplistic perfection. Whatevs. There is something that happens when you turn a golden little Twinkie into a four-bite hunk of decadance. These chocolate-covered Twinkies are a fun twist on a childhood classic. Try serving them with fresh strawberries for the ultimate treat.
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips, melted
- 6 Twinkies
- Microwave the chocolate chips in a medium glass bowl just until smooth and melty.
- Gently place a twinkie into the center of your bowl and use a spoon to coat the entire Twinkie with melted chocolate. Use the spoon to gently lift the Twinkie from the bowl, and place it on a piece of parchment until the chocolate hardens.
- Serve with fresh strawberries. Yum!
