I grew up in Michigan and never heard of such a thing. I do however live in Washington state now and the caramel macchiatto is my best friend. But I feel in love with that tasty drink while living in Italy.
Anyone who knows Texas chili knows this saying: “If you know beans about chili, you know chili ain’t got no beans.” Real Texas chili is spices, ground meat, and spices simmered in a spicy tomato-based broth. And don’t forget the spices!
I could maybe go along with the Dutch baby pancakes and Holland MI, but seriously? pineapple? Last I checked pineapples are a tropical fruit and Michigan is in no way tropical. What about Michigan apples or Michigan cherries? Or even better yet, howabout something that is identified with Michigan, like Pasties from the Upper Penninsula, or Rainbow trout or something made with Michigan cherries or apples? Or perhaps some of the great ethnic food from the many diverse ethnicities that call Michigan home. Whoever chose this must obviously have not been from Michigan.
Those are the worst looking Buckeyes I have ever seen. And they are called buckeyes because they look just like buckeyes. Ever seen Ohio State’s mascot?
You’re kidding me…Iowa is known for the 2″ thick Iowa pork chops and all they could find were corn dogs??? Didn’t corn dogs start with the county fairs?
